Turning My Dreams Into Reality

Updated: Jul 4, 2020

Hey there! Welcome to my very first blog. My name is Lauren Wolf and I am the owner of Everlasting Events! About a year ago, I had the idea to start my very own event planning company - I had worked in the wedding industry for 2 years and felt I was ready to go out on my own. However, life took me in a different direction (a new and exciting direction). I was offered a great job running the wedding department for a venue in Cincinnati and couldn't pass it up. Honestly, I am so happy that I didn't. I thought I knew all I needed to know about weddings/events in order to get my own company off the ground, but I have learned more in the last year than I ever imagined I could. I have met new vendors, planned new types of events, and have grown SO much creatively. I planned my own wedding (yay!), and pushed myself to new limits - 52 weddings and one Bat Mitzvah in the last year!!! ANYWAY, I have finally decided to take a chance on myself. Having my own company has been a dream that I have been sitting on - and now I am finally turning it into a reality.

A Little About Me - I won't bore you with the details, so i'll keep this short. I grew up in Lebanon, Ohio and then went to school at The University of Akron. I earned a bachelors degree in Communication and Marketing and became overly involved in my university (Alpha Delta Pi, American Marketing Association, CHAARG, Dance Marathon, American Sign Language, etc.). In July, I married my high school sweetheart, Austin (cute, I know!!) and together we have a Goldendoodle named Maizy. We moved to Maineville, Oh this past May and have been loving our small town married life. My Style - Venues: Outdoor weddings are some of my very favorite. It's true, the weather doesn't always cooperate, BUT when it does, they are some of the most beautiful weddings i've seen. Nature is your friend. Florals, greenery, tree's...what else do you really need? Colors: Neutrals are always a safe bet, but this year I have been very into dusty blues, sage/olive greens, and copper. Not to say I don't love a bright color palette every now and again, because I definitely DO. Decor: Florals and candles are the BEST way to spice up a wedding (IMO). Other than that, chairs and linens are probably the most important elements in making your day look fabulous. My current favorite chairs are vineyard and ghost - depending on the style you're going for. Speciality linens are also a crowd favorite - patterns & textures are everything!
